1. Overview

At Take a Shop, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you are not completely happy, we offer returns and refunds in accordance with South African consumer law.

This policy explains when you are eligible for a return, refund, or exchange.


2. Change of Mind Returns

If you change your mind about a purchase, you may return the product within 7 days of receiving it, provided that:

  • The item is unused, unopened, and in its original packaging
  • The product is in resalable condition
  • Proof of purchase is provided

Please note:

  • Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer
  • Certain products may not be eligible for return due to hygiene or safety reasons

3. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a product that is damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

We may request:

  • Photos or videos of the issue
  • The original packaging

Once confirmed, we will offer one of the following:

  • A replacement
  • A repair (where applicable)
  • A refund

Return shipping for faulty or incorrect items will be covered by Take a Shop.


4. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items may not be returned unless faulty:

  • Personal care and beauty products that have been opened or used
  • Items marked as non-returnable on the product page

5. Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

Approved refunds will be processed:

  • To the original payment method
  • Within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider

Please note that original delivery fees are non-refundable unless the item was faulty or incorrect.


6. Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item, please contact us first. Exchanges are subject to product availability.


7. How to Request a Return

To request a return or refund, please contact us with the following details:

  • Order number
  • Reason for return
  • Photos (if the item is damaged or faulty)

8. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund after the processing period:

  • Check with your bank or payment provider
